Pink Christmas Home Tour
We’re having a pink Christmas this year! Come take our pink Christmas home tour, packed full of simple and beautiful ideas that you could incorporate into any color scheme!
It’s Christmas home tour day! When it comes to Christmas decor, I have done a bunch of different themes and color schemes. I’ve done the traditional Christmas thing. And I’ve done neutral Christmas. I’ve embraced metallics for Christmas decor. One of my favorite years was pastel Christmas. But this year I am thrilled to be using a color scheme that I have never ever done before.

You see, I live with all boys– my husband Donnie and our two sons, Connor and Caleb– and I truly wouldn’t change it for the world. They are such a delight! But despite my house full of boys, I happen to be pretty girly. And for years I have been dreaming of doing a pink-themed Christmas.
As I’ve perused the after-Christmas sales for the past several years, I always found myself drawn to the pink ornaments, unable to resist throwing a few boxes that had been super marked down into my cart.
Then last year when I was putting away our Christmas decor and doing a little inventory of everything I had on hand, I realized that I had collected enough pink Christmas-y stuff to finally create the pink Christmas I had been dreaming of!
A Pink Christmas at Last!
So this is the year! Pink Christmas, here we are!
As I have shared bits and pieces of all the pink girly holiday things on Instagram, I have had several people ask me, “But what about all of your boys?! Did they throw a fit?!”
They actually did not! (I think they must be used to my antics by now. 😉 )
When I broke the news that I wanted to do a pink Christmas to Donnie, he just shrugged and said, “That’s fine with me!” And I actually had to point out to the boys that there was pink on the tree– they didn’t even notice!
They must figure that I spend a good portion of my year attending all of their boy things, so they can handle a month or two of pink overload!
Our Pink Christmas Tree
I must admit, I especially love how the pink pops off of our flocked tree! In addition to the ornaments I’ve been collecting for a few years, I found some beautiful pink flowered ribbon at Michaels. I knew it would be the perfect addition to our holiday decor.
Speaking of ribbon, I know that can be one of the trickier parts of tree decorating to figure out. I would be totally lost without my brilliant blog friends sharing their ribbon-wrapping wisdom! This year I used a ribbon technique I learned from my friend Kelley Nan– you can see her excellent tutorial right here.
And if you prefer ribbon that goes more around the tree (rather than the billowy, looped look I used), I highly recommend this tutorial from my friend Michael at Inspired by Charm.
Along with the ornaments and ribbon, I also used several different types of picks and flowers to fill in the tree and give it some extra interest. All of the picks and florals I used on this tree are from Hobby Lobby and Michaels.
A Personal Touch for Our Stockings
This year I also snagged a new set of stockings for our family at HomeGoods.
I wanted to do something to personalize them, so I grabbed the letters of our initials from this Etsy shop, added a few beads and a tassel to each one, and attached them to the stockings. Now we can easily tell whose is whose!
Pink Christmas Wrapped Gifts
No tree setup is complete without gifts!
Want to know a secret? Most years, the gifts under the tree in all of my blog pictures are empty boxes because I am not on the ball enough to buy the real presents on time– oops!
But this year I got paranoid when I started hearing that gifts may take a long, long time to ship, so I bought everything super early. Those are actually real presents under there this year!
(Just don’t tell my boys. They are so used to the fake presents at this point that they don’t realize that their actual gifts are already sitting there!)
I get most of my wrapping paper at HomeGoods and Target– I always seem to find cute colors and styles at both of those places!

Christmas in the Kitchen
Our kitchen and living room are one big space. I put out a few decorations in the kitchen, but we use it quite a bit, so I didn’t want to over-clutter!
A Pink Christmas Dining Room
The dining room off of the kitchen though? That got its own tree and a bunch of Christmas decor!
One of my favorite things to style each season is the hutch that used to be my grandmother’s. I carried the pink into this space as well– I think she would approve!
I snagged this little pencil tree at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. It is fun to have a smaller tree to decorate as well. More ribbon and pink bulbs for the win!
As much as I love Christmas decor during the day, I think it becomes even more magical at night.
I really need to find a reason to keep twinkle lights out all year long. 🙂
