2017 Christmas Nights Tour
It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just a few days away! To round out my holiday posts this season, I am excited to be bringing you my Christmas Nights Tour!
Christmas Nights Tour
There is just something so enchanting about twinkling lights in the dark! (I think it’s also fun because it’s a different way to see homes– we almost always just show them in the day when the lighting is good! 🙂 )
I decided to focus in on the two decorated trees we have in our downstairs area for this tour. Our main tree is in our sunroom, which is easily one of my favorite rooms in our home!
During the day this room has a beautiful view of the rolling hills and farmland behind our house, but even at night when the view is not visible, it is a cozy little spot where our family loves to sit and spend time together.
Rather than put our tree in front of our living room built-ins, we opted to put it in the sunroom this year, and I am looking forward to spending Christmas morning in this space, with the boys excitedly digging into their gifts!
I have to give a little shout out to my friend Kristy from Klover House blog and her talented mama! They recently recovered the cushions on our sunroom furniture for me, and I am absolutely smitten! The cushions used to be a yellow-ish off-white, but I think the blue ticking stripes suit them so much better.
If you read my whole crazy debacle in my daylight Christmas tour, you know that it’s kind of a miracle that our tree is up, lit, decorated, and has curtains behind it in the first place… it was a much bigger challenge than I had expected it to be this year! 😉
But now that all of the craziness has ended (I hope!), we have definitely been able to sit back and enjoy our home, our time together, and most importantly, preparing for the true meaning of the season, celebrating the birth of Christ! <3
I ended up not using red for our Christmas decor this year, which I was a little nervous about, but I think it was the right decision, at least for this year. I think it makes our house feel so much more relaxing and peaceful without it… is it possible for a color stress me out? Is that a thing? Lol.
I’m sure I’ll get the itch to add it back in sometime in the future, but we are enjoying all of the neutrals for now!
If you stand in just the right spot in the sunroom, you can see a peek of our other downstairs tree in the dining room!
I found this cutie on major sale at Hobby Lobby, and I am so thrilled with it! It is nice and thick and full, and it ended up being the perfect size for our little dining room corner.
I had the idea to put our Willow Tree nativity scene in my little terrarium this year so that it would look a bit like a stable, and I am just tickled with how it turned out! I even had some shredded brown paper from a package that I had received to use as “hay”!
It doesn’t take much to get me excited, if you couldn’t tell… 😉

Oh yes, the tree in the sunroom looks amazing! I love Christmas trees, normally around my house we have the main tree in the living room, a small tree on the porch, and a quarter fake tree in the kitchen! Only the tree in the kitchen ever has a white light theme – the rest all color!
Those sound beautiful, Angel! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

I am so happy that you had a Blessed husband that did those things for you – they are not all like that. Your trees are beautiful and so is your house. That’s a lot of pressure you had but it all worked out and you will one day laugh about it. Merry Christmas
He is definitely a keeper for sure! 🙂 Thank you so much for your sweet words, Connie! Merry Christmas!

I love the blue ticking and I LOVE LOVE the nativity scene in the terrarium. I have a nativity scene but never any place to put it where it can be seen throughout the holidays.
Thank you so much, Karen! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
