Hi, Kathleen! I just sprinkle them in, either horizontally (usually with a bowl or something on top) or vertically, varying the heights of the books. We don’t use these particular shelves for books; they’re more decorative. My son just moved into his first apartment, so I’ve been helping him organize and decorate.
