I am a old(er) lady who just got some nice washable socks for Christmas. The problem is that the washing directions were in “code”. I don’t usually care about the outco me of my socks in the laundry because a “pair” goes in and a “single” comes out. Because I have so many “single” socks (and there isn’t a “match.com for socks) I buy cheap socks. But the lovely washable socks I received as a gift were anything but cheap. Hence my need for wash decoding symbols. I looked all over the internet for “free printables” but couldn’t find a thing (unless I wanted to purchase the free printable. I found you! and I’m so glad I did! Lovely blog and I’ll be back! However because my vision is impaired it is difficult to read the light grey font on a white background. Thanks for sharing.

Couple of additional comments about stain removal:
Per the Red Wine Industry, if possible, soak a red wine stain with WHITE wine and the red wine should come out of the fabric almost immediately. I’ve had red wine spilled on a brand new chair and by “dousing” the seat cushion in white wine, the red wine stain came out immediately. I’ve also had red wine splashed on a good suit and by soaking the stain immediately (I was still wearing the suit), the red wine was rinsed right out. This is the reason why I NEVER have red wine in my home. I always serve white wine.

To remove a ball point pen stain from fabric, make sure that the hair spray used is the CHEAPEST hairspray you can find. The cheaper the hairspray, the move lacquer the spray contains and this is the ingredient that dissolves the ink.
