A Super Simple Valentine’s Day Teacher Gift
This Valentine’s Day teacher gift comes with a cute free printable, is easy to put together, and your teacher is guaranteed to love it!
My boys have been blessed with absolutely phenomenal teachers this year, so when I was thinking up ideas for free Valentine printables, I knew I couldn’t leave them out!
Though we are using these oh-so-easy Valentines as teacher gifts, they can really be used for anyone in your life who could use a little extra pick-me-up. 🙂

Step 1- Gather your teacher gift supplies.
This gift only takes a few simple supplies, and we provide the free printable below!

Step 2- Print the Valentine gift tag.
I printed my tag on white card stock just to make it a little sturdier, but if you only have plain paper on hand, that will definitely work too. You can download the printable by clicking on the button below.

Step 3- Fill out the gift tag.
We all could use a little extra encouragement these days, right?! Teachers work so hard and are rarely given the praise they deserve, so we want to fix that by reminding them what we “heart” about them.
Have your child fill out the gift tag, listing things they appreciate about their teacher. (Or if they can’t write themselves yet, have them tell you what they appreciate so you can write it for them!)
If they’re having trouble coming up with things to say, here are some ideas:
- She is very creative.
- He really cares about his students.
- She is passionate about her subject area.
- He goes out of his way to make his students smile.
- She makes learning fun.
- He is very organized.
- She knows so much, and that gets us excited to learn too.
- He is always willing to help.
- She knows how to make lessons interesting.
- He wants us to do our best.
Once the gift tag is completed, it’s time to put everything together.
Step 4- Assemble the Valentine’s Day teacher gift.
Putting together the gift is oh-so easy!
1. I put together the cupcake box, leaving the cupcake insert out of it, and put the bowl inside instead.
2. I poured two bags of chocolate hearts into the bowl…
3. …and closed up the box.
4. I tied a ribbon around the box.
5. Then I grabbed the gift tag that my kiddo had filled out and…
6. I slipped the tag under the ribbon, and we were done! I told you it was easy! (And cute too! 🙂 )
I know teachers don’t often get to hear all of the amazing things our kiddos love about them, so I thought this Valentine’s gift would be the perfect way to encourage them a bit and satisfy their sweet tooth at the same time!
If a gift card is more your style, I have similar encouraging teacher printables for those too! You can snag them for Amazon, Target, Starbucks, or a general printable that can be used for any gift card.
And if you’re looking for some free printable Valentines that your child can hand out to their friends, we’ve got you there too!

This is such a cute idea – thank you!! I may have to think a little more about what to put in the box, since my daughter’s teacher keeps a strict no-sugar diet, but I love this concept!!
Thanks so much, Amy! Glad it was helpful for you! 🙂

This is such a sweet idea! As a teacher myself, I don’t want parents to feel obligated to giving elaborate gifts and this is perfect! Also, a heartfelt thank you is always enough! Thanks for all of your wonderful ideas!
